These Terms govern your use of Tangent, an active listening companion for podcasts. By using Tangent, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
You may use Tangent to search for podcasts, play episodes, capture notes and clips, generate summaries, and sync your listening context across your own devices. You are responsible for the notes, prompts, uploads, URLs, and other content you add to the app.
Podcast audio, artwork, feeds, transcripts, and metadata belong to their respective owners. Tangent helps you access and organize that content, but Tangent does not own podcast content and cannot guarantee that every feed, episode, transcript, or external link will remain available or accurate.
Tangent may use AI systems to transcribe audio, classify notes, summarize context, answer questions, or propose agent mixes. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You should review important output before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, safety, or professional decisions.
You can use Tangent locally without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping access to that account secure. You can delete your account and synced data from the app settings when account deletion is available for your signed-in account.
Do not use Tangent to violate the law, infringe intellectual property rights, bypass access controls, harass others, distribute malware, or overload the service. Do not upload or submit content that you do not have the right to use.
Tangent is an early product. Features may change, break, or be removed. We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
Tangent is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tangent will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or service interruption arising from your use of the app.
